We begin by presenting a few suffixes and prefixes to make the children aware of how prefixes and suffixes can modify the original root word. For example: Happy – Unhappy / Friend – Friendly, etc.
On further presentations, the children will progress to using the prefix and suffix cards, along with the red and black alphabet to further increase their knowledge, with many different modifications of prefixes and suffixes.
