As an extension of our class G nature walk project, the children were asked to collect small stones and paint them at home, using paints, felt tip pens and stickers.
Some of the children painted words onto the stones and others painted pictures or patterns of their own design.
The children then went out and left the stones in various places around their neighbourhood, such as outside other family members or friends´ houses, supermarkets, stations, etc. so that they could be found and taken as a beautiful gift of kindness and a message of hope and love.
In the classroom, we worked on vocabulary.
