Making a rose bookmark
The children were presented with two examples of making a rose bookmark, the first involved cutting a spiral from red card and the second was to roll crape paper to form the head of the rose.
Both examples had a torn strip of newspaper (to represent the “book”) as the stem and torn or cut leaves using tissue paper.
Each child could choose from different types of paper to form their own rose bookmark with some of the older children presenting to the younger children.
