We got the opportunity to participate in the EYP regional session in Sant Cugat, where EYPspain was founded about 15 years ago. That day we went to school but we ate earlier to be able to get the taxi to get there in time. Once we arrived after unpacking at the hotel, we were explained that the session is made up of three main elements: teambuilding, committee work and lastly general assembly, the day when we met lots of interesting people.
On the first day we got to know our committee with simple games like trying to make a monster with our body or forming a shape with our eyes closed. After a very fun afternoon we went to have dinner.
The second day´s tasks consisted of committee work. We met with our team and worked together for a whole day finding problems and solutions, having discussions with one another and having fun with this learning experience. It was a tiring day because later at night we had to prepare for the general assembly which was on the following day. It consists of exposing the problems and the solutions that should be implemented for all of the individual aspects of the issues.
Two of our schoolmates from 1st of Batxillerat, who had participated in last year’s National Selection Conference of the EYP, took part in the session in Sant Cugat as organizer and chairperson.
The Sant Cugat 2024 RSC was a wonderful experience and what we can all say is that we loved every bit of it. Taking part in this project was amazing for us. There was a fantastic dynamic that mixed working times and social activities and having fun. We would repeat it a hundred times. 🙂
Two of us were selected to take part in the 19th National Selection Conference of EYP Spain that will take place in Valencia in September 2024.
