The students were involved in a mathematical art project. The students first drew patterns on paper. They used measurement to make three Santa Claus suits. Each suit is smaller than the previous one. The students cut out the patterns and pinned them on the fabric. They cut out the patterns in the fabric, and sewed the pieces together. They either sewed by hand or with the sewing machine. The results were stunning.
