This past weekend, a group of students from ESO 4 had the chance to participate in the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Sant Cugat 2025 regional session. Engaging in team-building activities, dynamic debates, and public speaking alongside their committees formed by a chairman and other students across Catalunya.
Through the weekend, our students demonstrated their collaboration, critical thinking, and confidence in presenting their resolutions during the general assembly.
The session began with team building, where delegates participated in various activities to build trust between them and break the ice.
Once these activities are completed and the committees are formed, committee work starts. Here, they work together to analyze issues affecting Europe, issues based on their committee topic. From finding weak points, they came together to develop solutions and draft them into a resolution. This phase requires deep research and discussion, making it a critical step in the final product.
Our last day at Sant Cugat was the General Assembly, where all committees presented and defended their resolutions. Delegates had to defend their proposals and respond to difficult questions from other delegates. Ending with a vote to see if their committees passed or not.
This EYP Sant Cugat regional session was amazing; we all had a great time participating in all of the activities and challenges presented to us. Creating new friendships and moments to never be forgotten.
