The study of art is fundamental to children’s creative, visual, sensorial, and emotional development. Thus, presenting different art techniques help children to develop new skills, it contributes to their self expression and it promotes the understanding of different styles of artwork.
During this presentation, children learned the bases of Quilling, then they decided which technique to use in order to create their own designs. Children used different tools to make the leaves and then carefully glue them to their tree.
We learned that Quilling involves using strips of paper that are rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create different shapes, and glued together to create creative designs.
