Students in 456B have been learning about the composition of the earth and how the crust of the earth´s surface is formed. After a series of experiments and stories, the students set out on their own to research and discover the location of the main tetonic plates covering the earth. They observe and draw the continents and their movements throughout the ages using the timeline of life. They learn that the balance of forces on the planet are the reason for geographical forms around the earth. They observe and recreate the locations of specific mountain and volcanic ranges that have formed as a result.
