In Montessori we give a lot of importance to the enviroment. Hands-on gardening enables children to gain knowledge of plants, science and wildlife. Growing flowers and vegetables is both educational and healthy for children of all ages.
Children are fascinated by the process of how things grow. Working in the allotment helps with children’s self esteem, also helps with relaxation and helps them connect with their enviroment.
In the pictures there are children from EI3 helping plant lettuce. Also there are children from EI5 planting flowers. They also enjoy getting their hands dirty.
